#2 NOACH GENESIS 6:9-11:32

It is particularly important to understand that Noah was a righteous man. Righteous means to do what is right. It says in the Hebrew he was a tzadik, he was righteous. In my bible it says Noah was just. That carries a slightly different idea. Jewish Bibles use the word righteous. Genesis 6:9 CJB says, "Here is the history of Noach. In his generation, Noach was a man righteous and wholehearted; Noach walked with God." Some people have told me that we do not know if Noah kept the law. They do not know some of the basics of how to understand the scriptures. Sometimes the way words are used in the Bible describe their meaning. For example, over and over the Bible says to walk with God and keep His commandments. Deuteronomy 28:9 NKJV says, "The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways;" (also see, Deuteronomy 8:6, 10:12-13, 11:22, 13:4, 19:9, 26:17, and 30:16). Therefore, to walk with God means to keep God's Old Testament commandments. We will be God's holy people if, we keep His commandments it says in Deuteronomy 28:9. Learn and keep God's good commandments, do what is right, and be holy.
