Spiritual Awakening

Although teshuvah sounds mystical, it is an intentional and mindful process. Perhaps you heard the words “awaken,” “path,” “river,” and “verities;” and wondered if this was some kind of strange mystical journey. Teshuvah is both a personal and spiritual journey, and during the process we may have supernatural encounters. It can be strange because we encounter new thoughts, ideas, and we conceptualize and form new ways of living and practice. What may start as a brief aspiration or search can result in a mindful and intentional process to awaken our lives and change our inward nature so that our outward nature also expresses itself differently. Rabbi Shaul (Paul) said, “And clothe yourselves with the new nature created to be godly, which expresses itself in the righteousness and holiness that flow from the truth.” Eph. 5:24 CJB.
